About Me

I have to admit breakfast is not my favorite meal of the day. I don’t like most breakfast foods, in fact. I can’t stomach cereal, and eggs get boring really fast. Oatmeal is okay, but not something I adore as a culinary experience. It’s one of the only cereals I’ll eat. Fortunately, I discovered a way to eat breakfast and enjoy myself. I found such an avenue through pancakes.

I don’t eat pancakes everyday for breakfast. I go most days not eating pancakes, and sometimes weeks, only because if I ate them everyday, I would be packing on the pounds on a regular basis. Of course, I try to fit in a healthy batch of pancakes from time to time too, just to add some extra nutrients to my pancake-laden diet.

I like to experiment with different flavors and try new things. If you’ve read any number of my recipes you’ll probably notice I use the word ‘favorite’ a lot. Every recipe can’t possibly be my favorite, right? I’ve decided that it’s perfectly okay to have 5 different pancake favorites.

My name is Samantha Kay, and I’ve always loved to cook and bake. I go through bouts of intense Food Network obsessions every now and then when I can’t get enough of it. When I’m not doing that, I like to try my hand at new foods and such. I think I can safely say I’m pretty good at it, and my family would agree. If they didn’t, we’d be throwing away a lot of food on a regular basis.

My main motive with this website is to deliver recipes that actually make sense and are easy to follow. I’ve followed recipes, pancake recipes included, that turned out horrible due to the lack of clear instructions. You won’t get that here. I try to be as detailed as I can so that no one is confused and everyone gets awesome delectable pancakes every time, or at least close to it.

I hope you enjoy my recipes and pancake commentary. Feel free to send me suggestions, possibly for new pancake ideas, in the comments or through my contact page.
