Another benefit of an electric griddle is the cooking space on the surface of the griddle.  Your pancakes will cook more evenly because the griddle is heated up evenly.  When you have a griddle on the stove top, it will only be heated where the heat surface is.

Choosing an electric griddle is not hard and can be fun.  You have to assess what it is you need.  Do you need something cheap?  Are you looking for space-saving?  Do you want something convenient?

If you are trying to save space, you may want to stick with an ordinary griddle if you don’t have much counter space.  Otherwise, you can use an electric griddle.  Make sure you have sufficient storage space for your griddle.
