Crepes
Crepes are the French version of pancakes. Crepes are large, thin, and pliable pancakes that are used to roll up other treats such as fruit. They are made quite differently from regular pancakes, but are still quite easy.
You can fill your crepes with apples, strawberries, blueberries, anything! Here I will tell you how to make crepes.
Crepes
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1. In a bowl, use a whisk to combine the flour and eggs. You can use a standing or hand mixer if you would like.
2. Gradually add in the milk and water to the first mixture. Stir it all together until it’s well combined. Finally, add the butter and salt.
3. Heat a pan or round griddle to medium high heat. Using a skillet would work best for this. Lightly grease it with butter, oil, or nonstick spray.
4. Using a ladle or measuring cup, pour the batter onto the hot griddle. Use ¼ cup of batter for each pancake.
5. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the pan evenly all the way around. This makes the crepe large and thin.
6. Let them cook for about 1 to 2 minutes until light golden brown. Loosen with a spatula, flip and cook the other side.
Serve them hot with filling and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Drizzle with syrup if you would like.
