pancake syrup recipe
Real maple syrup can be expensive and is a nice treat, but if you use syrup often, it adds up. You could buy cheap syrup, or you could make your own for a homemade taste. It’s not from the tree, but it’s not bad!
Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring or extract
1. Mix together both types of sugar in a bowl and combine well. Add the mixture to a sauce pan.
2. Add the salt and water. Heat the mixture on medium high heat and bring it to a boil.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and add the maple extract.
4. Let the syrup cool and pour it over pancakes, waffles, French toast, or anything you’d like.
You can double, triple, or do any amount of this recipe, just use 2:2:1 for the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and water. Enjoy!
